Iliana,

I do think that my children love each other to a point. They do not love each other as I would like, because they have not been born-again as the Bible defines it. (First John clearly tells us that if we do not know God, we cannot truly love.)

I'm working from a worldview that uses the Bible as a reference point, and the Bible is clear that human nature is all bad (See Romans 3:10-12). The good we see is God's grace in us. The idea that human nature is both good and bad, and must be balanced is not a concept found in the Bible. In fact, it says just the opposite:
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)

Like I said, I don't mind teasing. But I do have a problem having fun at someone else's offense. I'll need to spend some time in the Bible to think about this some more. Thanks for the comments.

just because they tease each other doesnt mean they dont love each other.
i believe our nature as human is to be good and bad at the same time. But it only works properly if its in a blanced way. Neither should overcome the other.
