Hi Michelle- You are not the only one! I've actually been thinking alot about this. It's easy to meet my needs before my kids and I have been greatly convicted. For one, I have been spending more time playing with them rather than getting things done around the house or for my own enjoyment. ( Playing dollies, puzzles, dress up, store :) ) I've been trying to plan better meals rather than the easy way out. ( not just the same ole-- hot dog, lima beans and a cheese stick:) When I make conscious efforts to show them more love, I really don't desire "my things" as much... the computer, a nap, laundry. Yes, these things are important, but I am finding that spending more time WITH them allows me to stay on top of the important things, but most importantly, keeping a continuous dialogue about God. Its much easier when I am not focusing on me. I have a long way to go, but God has been gracious to show me how to deny myself more and more. To Him be the glory!
