Restorative Waters

Posted by Michelle under: Introspection; .

There’s something wonderful about a semi-quiet morning. Back home, with two sleepy older children and a baby who’s been awake and now sleeping, I was able to read this morning several chapters in Philippians.

Brethren,  I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

The study Bible I am using this morning mentions that it is not merely past failures and sins that we must put behind us, but also successes and spiritual growth. Instead, we must focus on the present. I like that. This morning is a new day to love my children and my husband. I should not dwell on what I have not done,  but focus on what needs to be done now.
