I’ve been thinking about some things I need to change. The problem is, I’ve been rather apathetic (um, lukewarm) about doing so. I’ve been thinking about why this is so. I can think of three big reasons, and then I’m including my initial plan to address the problem.
- First, I don’t understand what God has done for me. So I’m going to reread the gospels.
- Second, I don’t understand repentance. So I’m going to read Psalm 32, 51, and II Corinthians 7:9-11. All of these are convicting and helpful as I seek to change my worldly thinking for Godly thinking.
- Third, I’ve not been walking in the spirit. I’ve found in my life that when I start serving my flesh in little areas, I lose the battle with the big areas. That’s consistent with what I see in God’s Word. so I also need to read Galatians 5 and 6.
That’s all for now.

I also do a little preselected reading when I need reminding of something. I usually go back to John because this is where Jesus speaks the most about himself, and I find that I often need reminding about who He is.

Monica– you’re exactly right. It’s amazing how much of our problems disappear when we truly know who God is.
