ChiaoChyi–That’s the verse I was actually thinking of! Thanks for sharing it. Actually, all of Proverbs is convicting in this area. I just need to stop merely being convicted and take sustained action.

UGH I find myself rather lazy right now. I haven’t even thought about it. There is so much to do that I am starting to hardy do anything. Thanks for the encouragement!

I struggle with the same things as you know. I am realizing that my prayer needs to be Lord, make the cross clearer to my vision’ which strips away my self pity as I meditate on the tremendous sacrifice He made for me. This motivates me to throw off the laziness which so easily encumbers me and I find myself striving to glorify him with my actions. It’s when I take my eyes off the cross and put them on myself that I become overwhelmed with my tasks and begin my self-pity party and then I become a blob on a log. Worshiping God is not just done with my voice, it’s done when I sacrifice myself BECAUSE of my deep deep love for God.

How about this one? I used to read it alot when I was a student.

Proverbs 13:4
“The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.”

Thanks for these thoughts. I share the same desires too, and pray that God would continue to help us to be diligent in the tasks He has given us.
