Bethel is learning to whisper, but she has yet to whisper in church.
We told David if he wanted mom or dad after bed, he had to come get us. This is what we call a permissive deterrent. It wouldn’t work for Bethel, since she has no problems getting out of bed. 🙂 He has gotten somewhat quieter these days.
Laurel isn’t doing anything spiritual. I’m almost ready to let her cry the next time she gets up in the middle of the night, but it’s never been a good night for me. This is actually a spiritual discussion. On one hand, you have some parents claiming that it is unbiblical to pick up a crying baby. On the other hand, you have some parents claiming that it is unbiblical not to pick up a crying baby. And you have parents feeling guilty on both ends because they aren’t sure who is right.
