Self, you’ve been writing mostly about your own spiritual life. Yes, that’s true, but it’s all about children, so that counts, doesn’t it?
Well, when are going to get to the “talking about God” season of your parenting journey? Hey, isn’t it enough that I’m not yelling at the kids (most of the time)? I’m teaching them about God by meeting their needs and loving them. Isn’t that enough?
Maybe, but you probably should start talking about God before they turn eighteen, don’t you think? Sure, let me get them all out of the baby stage first, okay?
And what will you do with the older children while you’re waiting for the youngest to get out of the baby stage, hmmm? You might be right. Guess I need more grace, more mercy, more humility.
Self, keeping your own spiritual life in order is right. But it’s not right to be content to keep your own spiritual life to yourself. You’re going to have to keep working at reproducing yourself.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatians 6:9
