When Lee has an appointment with a new baby, one of the things he tells parents is that there is a wide range of ways to deal with feeding and sleeping troubles. He assures them that these differences don’t have a significant effect on the well being of their child. But if they want to be successful as parents, one of the biggest gifts they can give that newborn baby is a good relationship with each other. I call it the “date lecture.”
I’m tired and irritable. I’m tired of living out of a suitcase. I’m tired of being a single mom half the time. I’m tired of being extra vigilant at all waking hours. I need a date!
Actually… I don’t need a date as much as I need to be spending time in God’s Word. I’ve neglected that this week, and I can feel it. Guess that teabag illustration really applies, eh?
