I had a server glitch this morning, and I just realized that somehow in the process of resolving it, I lost a week of posts. I’m not quite sure what has happened, but maybe I can get my extremely handsome military IT guy (aka the bug crusher extraordinare, also known as my spouse) to look into the matter. I’ve heard rumors of this happening on WordPress, but we’ll see what the expert says.
Update:
Lee and I checked Google’s cached pages, but I found only one extra post there. Then we looked in our history sidebar from Firefox, and I found the addresses of my posts, but most of the addresses returned error messages. Finally, I checked Feedburner and there I found all of my posts and I physically copied them into a Word document in case those disappeared (my feed has been somewhat erratic). Sadly, the comments made on those posts are gone. If you’d like to comment again, feel free to do so. This morning, when my husband checked Feedburner, the posts were all gone, so I am thankful I copied them in time, and am hoping that the problem has been fixed. Once again, cheers to husbands who understand computers.
The feed is still not working well, and my husband may not get a chance to fix it until later in the week. If you normally access my blog via a feed reader, you may want to subscribe by email. As far as I can tell, the email subscription seems to be working fine.
Another Update:
Our best guess is that our server had some problems, and the hosting company reverted to a backup from last week. All the missing posts are back up, sans comments. The feed should be working now.
