Just got into St. Louis, where we’ll be for the next two weeks. A few challenges: David and Bethel sleeping in the same bed, getting them to use an “inside voice” instead of an “outside voice,” balancing the need for discipline but not wanting children to make a lot of noise, staying in someone else’s house and not tearing it apart, and keeping three young kids happy and busy without their toys. Oh, and do this all while my husband is off in the ER doing training.
But don’t feel sorry for me. Wouldn’t you rather be with your husband for a few hours each day (even if you’re both asleep for most of that time) instead of sitting at home without him? There’s a lot to do here, much of it for free. And the kids? They’re thrilled– they get to watch Animal Planet, eat sugar cereal, and jump on the beds.
Any advice?
😉

That would be fun! It’s only a six hour drive, what are you waiting for??!

🙂 Actually I always feel like the trek between here and St. Louis (and my speedy husband does it in 5..) is the longest whenever we’re on a trip out east. When we’re coming home, St. Louis feels like “We’re almost there!” but that last 5 hours seem to take forever.
Hope you’re having fun!
